Oh god that is hilarious! The cat’s expression is the best ever!
My cat has issues with my time on the computer, she believes that SHE is the only proper lap top item. So I’ve learned to position myself sideways on the couch, sitting cross-legged, with the cat curled up on my lap and the computer in front of us.
The things we do sometimes to keep the peace!

But of course he parks himself on your project. All of your attention should be focused upon him at all times. Except when he doesn’t want your attention, of course. Then you should leave him alone, but remain on call so that he can summon you.

I am pretty sure they are taught that in “kitty school” because they all seem to do it. Plop right down on the knitting, the book, magazine, newspapers, etc. It is all about them and when you put whatever down and pay attention to them, they will generally give you a love bite within minutes.
